2016 BLF SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS ANNOUNCED

What started as a program with around a hundred-or-so applicants competing for a small award, has grown to offer a major scholarship of $10,000 (thanks to our donors and supporters), with a talent pool swelling at a rate of nearly 50% year over year. Putting that into perspective for you, in 2015 we received 760 applications compared to 350 in 2014.

To say the level of talent was at an all time high in 2016, would be an understatement. Over 1300 students applied for the BLF Scholarship this year, and with only 7 scholarships available, it was clear from the start that our team of volunteer reviewers would have their work cut out for them. After two months of application review, and hundreds of deserving students later, the results are in.

In this video, watch Shannon Lee deliver the good news to a very deserving, and very surprised, 2016 Major Scholarship Winner, Michael Brown.

Now, it is with great pleasure that we share all the winners of the 2016 BLF Scholarship, with you.

THANK YOU

Our donors make it possible for the BLF Scholarship program to continue. The winning students can now focus more on their future, and less on the financial pressures that come along with a college education, because of your generosity. Thank you.

A dedicated team of volunteers review every application. A special thank you to that team; Sydnie, Christina, Chris, Israel, Jaquie, Charlotte, Brice, Tina, Perry, Kris, Shannon and Linda. Because of you, the students that exemplify Bruce Lee’s passion for education, self-actualization and honest self-expression, were selected as BLF Scholars and ambassadors for everything the Bruce Lee Foundation represents. Thank you.
